The first notable change to the Ford Edge is the new infotainment system, proudly and elegantly displayed. Indeed, placed in portrait orientation, the 12-inch touch screen, which mimics the shape of a large mobile phone, is skillfully integrated into the dashboard.
In addition to its impressively large screen, the SYNC 4A system is easy to use and includes some very useful functions. For example, it is possible to perform several tasks on the screen, which can be divided into several windows. The engine offered on all versions, except the ST, is a 2.0 L EcoBoost with 250 horsepower and 280 lb-ft of torque. Intelligent all-wheel drive is also standard on all versions, which includes the AdvanceTrac system with stability control. This leaves you with an SUV that’s perfectly adapted to all weather conditions: the Ford Edge is not afraid to take on the elements. The independent front and rear suspension also make for a very pleasant ride.
The ST version, specially designed for performance, is equipped with a 2.7 L twin-turbo V6 engine. It offers a remarkable 355 horsepower and 380 lb-ft of torque and is equipped with a suspension optimized for sporty driving. It also boasts a distinctive look, with standard 20-inch and optional 21-inch wheels, glossy black wheels. Inside, a red-stitched steering wheel and leather seats with suede cloth trim give you luxurious style.
Safety always comes first on all versions, which include the Ford Co-Pilot360 Package as standard. Pre-crash assistance with emergency braking, lane tracking system, rearview camera with cleaning spray and automatic high beams are standard. The BLIS system will also help you avoid damage with blind spot warning plus a cross-traffic alert.
